Terms and Conditions

Services and Products

Services are provided based on our acceptance of your order or request. No service will be considered accepted until we have received and processed your full payment. 

You will receive an email to confirm your order or reservation, along with details regarding your purchase or reservation.

 In case of any error in the confirmation email, it is your responsibility to inform us as soon as possible. 

We reserve the right to deny service to any order, individual, or entity, without being obligated to provide explanations. 

We may change or suspend any aspect or feature of the Site or Service at any time, as long as we fulfill any prior responsibilities contracted with you upon acceptance of your payment.

Tours

  • Included in Tours:
      • Official guide for the reserved number of hours (unless otherwise indicated).
      • Professional driver with insurance (if a service with included transportation is reserved).
      • Luxury vehicle (if a service with high-end transportation is reserved): Mercedes or Audi car, luxury minivan, or luxury coach. Spacious and air-conditioned.
      • Travel recommendations to enhance your stay in Barcelona.
      • VAT
  • Not Included in Tours:
    • Taxis, metro, or bus unless necessary during walking/taxi/metro tours.
    • Meals if needed.
    • Drinks and extra food in gastronomic tours.
    • Luggage transport. If traveling with luggage, standard prices do not apply, and a surcharge must be paid.
    • Pickup/Drop-off at the airport, or a hotel in the airport area or outskirts. Standard prices do not apply, and a surcharge must be paid.
    • Paypal fees.
    • Personal expenses: souvenirs, drinks, snacks, etc.
    • Medical expenses and insurance.
    • Tips. While not mandatory in Spain, they are appreciated and considered a reward for good service. Tipping at the end of the tour is a personal decision.

Cancellations

  • Private Tours:
    • Cancellations more than 15 days before the tour: 100% refund, excluding entrance tickets.
    • Cancellations less than 15 days before the tour: 50% refund, excluding entrance tickets.
    • Cancellations less than 2 days before the tour: No refund.
    • Special cases: Cancellations due to force majeure will be studied to reach an agreement.
    • Weather conditions: Tours take place rain or shine. Bad weather is not a valid reason to cancel a tour.
    • Cancellations by www.privatetoursgirona.com: In the unlikely case that I or one of my guides must cancel a tour, every effort will be made to find another suitable date/time.  If an agreement cannot be reached, and no alternative guide is available, the tour amount will be refunded within 30 working days.

Changes to a Confirmed Reservation

  • Changes to Date/Time:
      • Changing the date or time of your tour is possible but not guaranteed, depending on our availability for the new date/time. You may need to use a different guide than initially agreed.
  • Last-Minute Date/Time Changes:
      • Last-minute changes (less than 24 hours before the reserved time) are not accepted.
  • Itinerary Changes:
      • Itinerary changes can usually be made without issues (except when changes require extending the tour, depending on our availability). Changes in excursion itineraries outside the city may result in price increases.
  • Changes Regarding the Driver:
    • Adding a driver is possible based on availability.
    • Driver cancellation: If a service with a driver is reserved and you prefer to cancel the driver and proceed with a walking tour, cancellation fees will apply and will be studied case by case.
    • Vehicle change: If a tour with a vehicle for a specific number of people is reserved and the number of people changes, requiring a larger/smaller vehicle, the change depends on vehicle and driver availability. Last-minute changes (less than 24 hours in advance) are not accepted.

Other Tour Details

The client is responsible for providing the meeting point information.

The tour starts at the agreed time, and if the client is late, that time is forfeited, non-refundable, and the tour ends at the originally agreed time.

Itinerary: The tour focuses on the agreed itinerary, but we reserve the right to change the itinerary and program based on weather and unforeseen events like traffic, protests, street/monument works, etc. Itineraries are based on the usual pace of an average tourist: neither too fast nor too slow. 

Our guides set a pleasant pace, but it is the client’s responsibility to follow their instructions to see all included places in the itinerary. No refund or discount will be given for itinerary changes.

Meals: During meals on a tour and gastronomic tours, the client must inform the guide of any allergies or dietary restrictions to receive assistance when ordering. 

The client is entirely responsible for the foods they choose to consume, and www.privatetoursgirona.com will not be responsible for any health problems arising from consumed foods and beverages during a tour.

By purchasing one of the tours and making payment, you acknowledge that www.privatetoursgirona.com does not own the chauffeur services used during car, minivan, or coach tours. 

Consequently, www.privatetoursgirona.com will not be responsible for any negligence, malicious acts, or omissions by third parties.

You have freely chosen to participate in the tour, understanding the risks involved, including but not limited to: physical exertion for which you are not prepared, natural forces, transportation issues, alcohol consumption, risks associated with contaminated food or beverages, social unrest, terrorism, criminal actions, accidents or illness without immediate access to fast evacuation or availability of medical services or resources, adequacy of provided medical services, luggage or property damage, theft, losses, or theft. 

You understand that your contribution to the tour is crucial for its smooth progress, and you are responsible for aspects such as your mood, interest, interactions, decisions, mobility issues, punctuality, and communication with the guide.

If there is anything we can do to enhance your experience, feel free to inform the guide for necessary changes if possible.
